Privacy
The short version: Capmath has no accounts, no ads, and no email list. We don't sell your data, because we barely collect any. Here is exactly what that means.
Effective 2026-06-21.
You can read every page on Capmath without signing in, because there is nothing to sign in to. We do not ask for your name, email, or phone number. There is no account, no newsletter, and no login. We do not run advertising, and we do not sell, rent, or share personal information with data brokers or advertisers.
We use Vercel Analytics to understand which pages get read and how the site performs. It counts page views and basic technical details like screen size and the referring site. It does not use cookies and is designed not to identify you personally. We use this only in aggregate, to see what is useful and what is broken.
Ask the Cap sends your question to an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) to write the answer, while the actual cap numbers come live from our engine, not the model. We do not save your conversations and we do not tie them to you. Your message is processed to generate a reply and is not stored by Capmath afterward.
One practical note: don't put personal or sensitive information into the chat box. It is built to answer salary-cap questions, and there is no reason to share anything about yourself to get one.
Like any website, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes basic request information, including your IP address, as part of serving pages. For the Ask the Cap chat, we use your IP address briefly to enforce a rate limit so one visitor can't overload the service. That check happens in memory and is not kept in a database or used to build a profile of you.
Capmath runs on a small set of third-party services, each handling only what it needs to:
Each of these has its own privacy practices for the data it processes on our behalf.
Capmath does not use tracking or advertising cookies. We don't set cookies to follow you across the web. Any storage in your browser is limited to what the site needs to work.
Capmath is a general-audience site about sports salary caps and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date at the top. Questions about privacy are welcome at bobby@capmath.com. See also our Terms.
