Capmath is a reconstruction of the cap from contract data and CBA rules, not the league's official books, so it can be wrong. If a number looks off, tell us. We'd rather hear it and fix it than leave it.
Email bobby@capmath.com. To make it quick to verify, include:
The page or link where you saw it.
The number you think is wrong, and what you believe it should be.
A source or reason, if you have one (a reported salary, an option detail, a waived contract).
We check the figure against the engine and trace it to its input. Because every page computes from one engine, a single wrong input, say a misread option or an out-of-date salary, usually explains a number across several pages, and fixing the input fixes them all at once.
If the input was wrong, we correct it and the live pages follow on the next refresh. If the number was right but unclear, that's a reason to explain it better, and we treat it the same way. Either way we'll get back to you.
Some numbers aren't a matter of right and wrong. Cap holds are estimates, and projected cap lines are projections, so Capmath can differ from another reputable source and both be defensible. Where that's the case we'll say so and show how ours is built, rather than claim a number the league has never published. The reasoning behind every figure is on the methodology page.
