Early Bird rights

Early Bird rights are the two-season version of Bird rights. The team can exceed the cap to re-sign the player, but only up to 175% of his previous salary or 105% of the league-average salary, whichever is greater, and the new deal must run at least two seasons.

The player's cap hold while unsigned is 130% of his previous salary.
